ADRISHYA HAATH (THE INVISIBLE HANDS)

"ADRISHYA HAATH" (The Invisible Hands) is the upcoming film-script of S.C. Mishra. This is story of an Australian actress who fell in love with an African football player ... they met ... they romanced ... and they got a child who was LOST and brought up in a orphanage while the "luxury-prone" footballer left the actress for ever. But the "mother" inside the actress never forgot that child. She looked for him ... searched the whole world. And he appeared when he was a bloomed-up youth ... a soccer celebrity of the world ... with his own 'unknown' father as his fan. So ... what happens? Does the actress gets her lost love ... and her lost child? Which "invisible hands" saved the forlorn child all these years? Is it a tragic end or all smiles? EVEN THE WRITER DOES NOT KNOW AS OF NOW. WAIT ... AS HE IS WAITING!

The entire story takes place in an “imaginary” island* - POLITITIA - situated in a vast ocean with a mountain to the opposite side. This island is characterized by a morally declining life of most of its people who just pass time in idle gossips, lawlessness, hypocrisy, disorder and a very lewd attitude towards women. The island truly had a glorious past. However, the present scenario was just the opposite. Involved in daily idleness, use of tobacco, opium, drug and similar addictions, they look at women as a mere object of sex. The police, the politicians, the divines, the officers and even the intellectuals, in their own ‘subtle’ and sophisticated ways, are all sunk in the deplorable depth of moral corruption and sexual appetite. And yet, they have a deep sense of pride in their country and its past glory.

In such a sexually and morally perverted country, there lived a young man, Crusado, an orphan from childhood, who was depressed to see the condition of his small island, but had no means to fight against the odds. One night when the entire island was fast asleep, an ‘alien aircraft’ (so to say) landed on Mount Dondalla and Rado, the god of wrath, brought a horrible Dragon in the same aircraft and dropping him off on Mount Dondalla to carry on his mission, he rushed back.

One night a mighty storm swept away many lives in the Island as a part of Nature’s wrath and the horrible Dragon came out of his sleep, giving his first terrifying glimpse to the people. The next night the Dragon appeared before Crusado. The Dragon succeeded in befriending the afraid young man by telling him that he was sent by the Super Mind (the Dragon’s reference to God) to change the fate of Polititia, and since Crusado was a good soul, the Super Mind had chosen him as His instrument for this change. But for this, Crusado had to pass through a painful process inside him. Though highly scared of this pain and suffering, he loved his country and wanted its emancipation. So he agreed. However, the Dragon also promised him a ‘sweet’ prize on behalf of the Super Mind.

Another parallel stream of the story begins from France where Mr. Jacques Dupont, a Professor of Philosophy, is delivering his lecture at a post-graduation session. During his lecture, he refers to Polititia as a country of many philosophical ideas and a rich spiritual heritage. Among his students is Vanya Leyland, an extremely beautiful widow whose lover husband, Anatole, died in an air-crash 18 years ago.

Now enchanted by Prof. Dupont’s impressions of Polititia, her spiritually athirst heart yearns to travel to this island. Professor Dupont gives her a Research Project and she comes to the island with a great picture in her mind. But as soon as she arrives at Old Chilly airport of Polititia, with her daughter (Beatrice), all her great images shatter down. She and her daughter were subjected to an attempt of rape by two taxi drivers but a deputy Minister of Polititia was passing with his officers and police bands and they were rescued only to fall victims of the Minister, his son and police officers.

Then again the Dragon appeared before Crusado and changed himself into a human form. The Dragon and Crusado do something to expose the crimes that are going to happen with the two French tourists. It is a whole sequence of tortures and exploitations of these women by the hands of the Minister and his son and even responsible officers …. And the revenge of the Dragon!

While all this was happening, one fine evening, Crusado had a different feeling. It was then when Atoosa, a beautiful fairy, appeared before him in the form of the “Sweet prize of the Super Mind” as referred to by the Dragon.

The sufferings force the French tourists (mother & daughter) to go back to their country but Crusado’s fiancée – Atoosa - tells them that it will be too cowardice to go like this, leaving the rapists unpunished. So they all unite to punish the culprits. The beautiful fairy fiancée also told Crusado that fighting with these corrupt people in this Dragon-style is not sufficient. The whole system needs to be changed. She asked him to fight for the post of President in the upcoming election. With her one encouragement, she completely changed Crusado’s fate, and proved to be the woman who is always behind the success of a man.

When these dialogues were on, again the Dragon appeared before Crusado and told him that “I am a very tiny Dragon created by the Super Mind but the actual Dragons are so powerful that they can uproot the mightiest powers on earth”. So who were these REAL DRAGONS?

The Dragon and Crusado had a video reel which could expose the Minister (Pestor Monto). He was afraid to know that Crusado enjoyed such a great trust of people. So … there are several sequences of what the Minister does to save his face and eliminate his “enemies”. For this, he even takes help of his spiritual godfather, Dhongar Baasha, who asks him to “divert people’s attention” from the rape case of the French ladies and cause communal and racial hatred. Ultimately, the Dragon and Crusado expose him. People run to kill the Minister but the Dragon stops them and encourages them to revenge by defeating him in the election.

Completely run off and witless, the Minister calls his criminal accomplices and opens his treasure to win votes of people by money or by muscle. But now people do what Crusado and Dragon wanted. When money failed, the ‘muscle’ was left. On the vote day, the Minister and his criminals, visited several polling booths to intimidate people. The last polling booth was for women and there …. in a dramatic sequence … all women turn into Dragons and pounce at the Minister and his criminal fellows. And now all were Dragons … all chasing the sinister minister. The election result was announced. Crusado won the election and was declared the President. While pledging himself for serving the best interests of Polititia, he asks people to swear three things to give them ultimate freedom from corrupt Pestor Montos. WHAT ARE THESE THREE OATHS????

When all this was happening, there was a foreigner beggar who was living in Polititia since long and nobody knew his whereabouts. He seemed mad and did not even speak. As all people had thronged to the festive scenario where Crusado was swearing as the President, he was also there standing in the queue of beggars and was now walking along. WHO WAS THIS EXOTIC BEGGAR …. A GUITARIST OF LOVE!! How did he come there? Does the smell of love fade when time passes by?

There was also a madman in that island named Hottpeter. Long ago, his forefathers had a small ‘kingdom’ and a rich life but now those days were gone. This madman mentally lived in that past of glory, but his present was so bad that even for a little wine, he had to flatter around people. People teased him, children made fun. He is an interesting character with lots of funny stories about his elephant. THIS MADMAN IS A PROMINENT SYMBOLIC CHARACTER IN THIS NOVEL AND FILM-SCRIPT FULL OF EVEN MORE SUBTLE SYMBOLIC MESSAGES.

……. And now the Dragon had to return when his mission was done. By this time he had fallen in love with the people of island. DID HE GO? WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? The story ends with a blended feelings of tragedy and comedy and leaves the audience well-suggested that even though the story has ended … it has NOT ENDED. The Dragon’s traits will continue till he has revenged the FIVE ANTI-DECENCY, ANTI-HUMAN AND CORRUPT GROUPS.

* To keep the essence and vitals of the story, it is strongly advisable that a film-maker must create an exotic atmosphere for this entire film, including names of the characters, the way of salutations, costumes and everything else.
